University Hospital of Gansu Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1991. It is a grade A of class 3 Chinese Medicine hospital standing out for Chinese Medicine speciality combining medical activities, teaching, scientific research, health care, rehabilitation and emergency together. In 2010 and 2012, our hospital was appraised as advanced collectivity twice.

Chinese Medicine orthopedics department, nephropathy department, acupuncture and moxibustion department, Chinese Medicine paediatrics department and encephalopathy department are Gansu provincial major Chinese medicine special subjects .Departmentof Chinese Medicine processing and pharmacy is a construction unit ofGansu provincial major Chinese medicine special subject. There are secondary national clinical laboratories in spleen-stomach department, Cardio-vascular department and nephropathy department.
